The Campaign distribute 10,000 masks to Indian vulnerable groups, to fight against the COVID-19


The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and The Association Belt and Road Malaysia take care the minority ethnic group, distribute 10,000 masks to much-needed Indian vulnerable groups, to fight against the COVID-19.


This is in conjunction with the “Malaysia-China Berganding Bahu, Melawan Wabak COVID-19” campaign, a social welfare collaboration program between the Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and the Association Belt and Road Malaysia, and co-organised by the Pahang Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation, Malaysia Dry Foodstuff Importer and Exporter Association, and Malaysia-China Culture and Arts Association.


Representative from Association Belt and Road Malaysia, handover 10,000 pieces of face masks to the YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Sri S. A. Vigneswaran. Yang di-Pertua Dewan Negara cum President of MIC. As Tan Sri Vigneswaran unable to attend the handover ceremony, YB Senator Datuk T. Mohan, Dewan Negara senator and vice chairman of MIC, represent him to received face masks.


Mr. Yao Teck Chong, Deputy President of The Association Belt and Road Malaysia, said that many Malaysia Indian worker facing daily life problem, especially during the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic and Moving Control Order period.


“We believe that the team of Tan Sri Vigneswaran, has rich experience and organizational skills, can more accurately distribute face masks to Indian families and vulnerable groups who are really in need, to fight the epidemic together.”
